"This album is dedicated to the memory of Svetozár Stračina (1940-1996).
Stridžie dni ("The Witching Days") is a celebration of the countryside in Western Slovakia, with all its grotesque myths and lore. All lyrics are written in local dialect and they mostly deal with folklore legends based on rural witchcraft, drunkenness and also national pride.
Like the Slovak soul itself, these songs are often both grim and humorous, merry and melancholic at the same time."
A lot going on here but after repeat listens, it all makes sense. Catchy melodies and grooves are intertwined w/ scathing vocals. Creepy artwork too! Sean TPLTR
The way these guys cross NWBM with blackened sounds is completely unique. It's far more than your standard "black n' roll" sound. You need all the albums by this outfit. yelworK
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
